About Us
Hope and Health is a sport-for-development and social impact movement that uses the beautiful game of soccer to create life-changing experiences for Indigenous children and youth across Vancouver Island and beyond. Guided by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action, Hope and Health focuses on “Champions for Life” outcomes - fostering pride, confidence, and the belief that every child can achieve their highest potential.
Through sport, culture, and mentorship, Hope and Health builds pathways to physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness. Our Indigenous-led team works in trusted partnership with Nations, schools, and communities to foster belonging, leadership, and long-term health and life outcomes.
Programs include community camps, school-based initiatives, the Nautsa’mawt FC Academy, and Matriarch-led wellness and leadership circles - all designed to uplift the next generation through connection, culture, and movement.
Hope and Health is powered by purpose-driven Indigenous and non-Indigenous leaders who believe in the power of sport to change lives and systems for the better. We welcome new partners, collaborators, and supporters to join us in growing this movement of hope, health, and lasting reconciliation through sport.
